Legal Bases for contestants
CHAPTER I: About the diffusion of the contest
1st Article: The Legal Bases of the 12th National Contest of Living Statues may be requested in the headquarters of Produces, personally in Paraguay Road 1338 5th floor, Autonomous City of Buenos Aires or otherwise via email to info@estatuas-vivientes.com.ar .Also this information might be consulted from the Organizer’s web page - www.uces.edu.ar or www.estatuas-vivientes.com.ar since April 4th 2011.
CHAPTER II: About the guidelines of the Contest
2nd Article: The Contest is organized by Universidad de Ciencias Empresariales y Sociales (University of Business and Social Sciences) –UCES- and UCESart department, as a Cultural and Productive Enterprise destined to the community, having the aim of facilitating and encouraging the production and consume of the artistic discipline of living statues, strengthen the local and regional identity through different ways of diffusion and their participation in diverse spaces from the cultural scope (carnivals, musical shows, commemorations, etc.), advising that their inclusion in the market is not warranted by the usual cultural interchange.
CHAPTER III: About the participants of the contest
3rd Article: The registered to the contest can be any person who is at least 18 years old, of both sexes, living inside the territory of the Argentinian Republic, argentine or nationalized, which cultural base activity, is oriented to the living statues’ technique or living performance statue.
4th Article: For the registration to the contest the participant must send the following data and documentation.
- CV
- 1 (one) I.D photocopy
- An accreditation of the activity of at least 1 (one) year
- 5 (five) photos of the character which he/she will contest.
- Shipping via e-mail name and surname, date of birth, identity number, nationality, address, telephone number or mobile phone number, e-mail.
CHAPTER IV: About the category of the contest
5th Article: The contest is established into 2 (two) participation categories.
CLASSIC LIVING STATUE: is the one that during the show, will make a maximum of 2 (two) movements returning to its initial position.
PERFORMANCE LIVING STATUE: is the one that during the show will make a maximum of 4 (four) movements returning to its initial position NOT being able to interact with the audience as a clown or mime.
At the moment of the inscription the participant will have to inform the category in which his/her character will be in.
CHAPTER V: About the reception and presentation of the CVs and photos
6th Article: The reception of the CVs and photos of the characters which are going to contest is from May 6th to June 21st. The deliveries will to able to be done, personally from Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 19:00 hours in Paraguay road 1338 5th floor – Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Argentinian Republic-, or by e-mail at ucesarte@uces.edu.ar; in the presentation of the participant must be informed the category in which their character is.
CHAPTER VI: About the contestants selection.
7th Article: An evaluator commission will be formed destined to the contestants’ selection, which will count with the participation of Directors of the Cultural Area of the University and Headmasters of UCESart. This group will evaluate the registrants and their respective characters and will determine their acceptation to the contest before June 30th 2011. In case of having participated in previous years, it is NOT possible to repeat the same character, from neither the 2009 or 2010 contest. The notification to the participant will be by email or by phone.
CHAPTER VII: About the contest procedure.
8th Article: The contest will be held September 25th 2011 on the street Paraguay 1338, Autonomous City of Buenos Aires from 15:00 to 18:00 hours. It will not be suspended due to climate reasons, doing the contest inside the University itself.
The way of announcement of the winners will be stipulated in function of the votes that the audience will do freely and gratuitously. For that, there will be voting voucher which will be considered one vote per person, doing the respective control through the computation system installed for those purposes.
9th Article: Universidad de Ciencias Empresariales y Sociales and UCESarte, stablished a prize of DVD player between the present audience that had done their vote. The raffle will be done with printed coupons. The prize is not transferable and cannot be changed for money.
10th Article: The participant will have to ask for a turn to record a video of their character in the TV studio of Produces or ship their own ones between July 4th and July 25th; they will be uploaded to www.estatuas-vivientes.com.ar webpage where will participate of the online contest from August 1st at 00:00 hours to September 18th at 24:00 hours.
CHAPTER VIII: About travelling and stay’s fees.
11th Article: Once the characters have been defined, Universidad de Ciencias Empresariales y Sociales – UCES – and the DEPARTMENT of UCES ART, will supply, to whom it solicitudes and lives in a city which is at more than 200 km away from the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, a presentation note so as the person can present it in order to get resources for their travelling and stay.
12th Article: The evaluation group reserves the right of redefining the category in which the participant will be; in case that the choice the participant had done previously does not match the stipulated categories’ guidelines.
CHAPTER IX: About the winners.
13th Article: The 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th winner, and also the 1st and 2nd each from the attendance contest and the on-line contest of both categories, which arise from the votes that the audience will do, authorize their names, voices and images diffusion in the media and by any way the organizer considers, without any right of compensation, until 2 (two) years from the show.
CHAPTER XI: About the acceptation.
14th Article: The participation in this contest implies the acceptation of the legal bases, and also decisions the organizer can adopt about any issue not provided in the bases.
